It happens to all of us...

Re:  Huh?  You're in OHIO?  What gives?  Luv ya, bro....

I moved here after Daddy died to be with David. I just needed to be with family and Texas is too darn hot so I came here instead (David has been here 7 years). I like it ok but can't get back home to Tennessee fast enough! Hopefully I'll be back there by March. Love ya brother!

Thanks brother. Man, we've been friends almost 30 years - can you believe it? Seems like just yesterday you were working at SDHPT (now TxDOT) and we were having butter spectacles and beer nuts! GREAT memories!

Re:  Mt. Kashimayari pics, Northern Japan Alps

Great mtn. climbing pics! I clicked on each one so I could take in the beauty at my own pace! LOVED it! I wish I could be in Houston but can't get away from work darn it. I'm having a devil of a time convincing them to let me off for Christmas. But I'll get it worked out - our first Christmas without Daddy and I HAVE to be home! Hope you're well and I love you brother!

I just said a prayer for her (Katie Carrow, my colon cancer & brain tumor surgery survivor friend in Houston) and will continue to do so. Please keep me posted! Love you brother!

As most of you know I'm moving to Kansas City the end of this month. I thought I'd pass along my new address in case you wanted to send gifts.  :-)

It's 9455 West 151st Street

Overland Park, KS 66221

I'm keeping my same cell number, at least for now. Any changes to that and I'll let you know. I'm sending this as a blanket email to everyone in my address book, so if there are some I got inadvertently by responding to emails or you otherwise don't wish to have this info you can simply delete. And to hell with you :-) JUST KIDDING! Please keep in touch and if you REALLY miss me I'm a short flight away!

Ted

Hey brother! Great pictures of a beautiful place (Tokyo Garden Chapel in the Hotel New Otani) ! Sorry I missed your call - I was at work. The best time to get me is early evening central time, really anytime after about 5. Hope to connect soon!

Monday, September 25, 2006

Great pic (of mom & me with Joel Osteen) ! Hey, sorry I missed your call the other day. Next time you call leave your number where I can call you back in case I don't get the call - your number never shows up so I can't get back to you! Love you buddy!

Friday, September 08, 2006

Man, I wish I could be there (in Houston during my vacation). Keep me in your prayers - been through some rough times lately. But hey, things are gonna get better - ya GOT to bear down!

For those who don't know already I've moved back to Nashville. I wanted to pass along my new email address in case you might need it. If you don't then fine, I don't want you to have it anyway :-)

Re:  Man, I can't tell you the absolutely overwhelming flood of feelings, emotions, and happy memories I experienced while driving around Nacogdoches on Dec. 26.  Remember when JP's blowing his nose cracked you up so much at the opera singer spaghetti restaurant, you had to stop in the middle of your song?  :-)  Those were the days....

Oh man, I had forgotten the nose blowing incident! That was Rossini's. That was a funny memory for sure!

Saturday, December 24, 2005

Allright, the day you all dread has finally come - Ted is on his high horse. I can't begin to tell you how many places I've been that have Happy Holidays but not Merry Christmas. I know, you've all heard it before. Well, you're gonna hear it one more time. I am SICK TO MY STOMACH of all these light weight panty waiste jackasses that insist on us not saying Merry Christmas for fear it might offend someone. Know what? I don't give a crap if it offends. In fact, with what I've seen lately I'm HOPING to offend somebody! I don't care what your religious background is, what your political beliefs are, or anything else. Bottom line - this is AMERICA and here we say MERRY CHRISTMAS! So the solution is simple - if you're a foreigner and don't like it get the hell out of our country. If you're American and belong to a group, ANY group, whether it's religious or otherwise, that doesn't celebrate Christmas, then just nod and go about your business. You don't see Americans going to Iran or any other piss poor excuse for a country and telling them "don't say that, it offends me". And if I have my way you're not gonna do it here. This is a free country, and that means you can say and do what you want. Wanna burn the American flag? Men and women have died for your right to do that. Just remember, they've also died for my right to kick your ass if you burn Old Glory in front of me. And don't think I won't do it - I have way too much Pa in me to stand by while that happens. And if Merry Christmas offends you then may I suggest you pack your bags and get a move on - I'm sure France would be happy to have you. Sorry, but I'm PISSED about this and had to get it off my chest. If some of you are offended by my language.......oops.....sorry. You'll just have to forgive me. I WAS raised better than that, but then some people just PISS ME OFF!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ted

Re:  HUGE !  I couldn't help thinking about you on Wed. night at a concert of opera singers I attended.  One lady sang a song named "Caro nome che il mio cor" from Verdi's Rigoletto.  Wow, was I ever swimming in fond memories of Nacogdoches, that spaghetti restaurant where you used to sing on stage, and of course.....your Rigoletto performance.  Those were the days.

Wow! What memories! The song "I'm always called Mimi, but my name is Lucia"...man does that bring back some good ones! We've had some fun haven't we buddy! Things are pretty good here. David is coming here for Christmas. Oops, don't say coming... (paraphrased, I know!) Hope all is well with you and move back home! Your buddies miss ya!

Re:  Did you get my call?

I did! I don't know why but sometimes my phone doesn't ring in my house - I guess because I'm in the middle of BF Egypt. I'll try to download the Skype thing and see if we can talk!

I kinda figured (since I'm so smart and all) that the easiest way to get my new cell number out was to send a blanket email to everyone in my address book. If there are any bill collectors in the list or people I don't really know then disregard. Or in the HIGHLY unlikely event that there actually may be some who just don't want my number (I know, fat chance) then you too may disregard this message. By the way, I do NOT accept collect calls... :-)
HA! I kill me! And in case you haven't heard, I'm leaving to take a job with the circus. I'm gonna bark for the Yak Woman.....(God, I LOVE Zoloft!)
Ok, here it is - 931-316-9072. I'm not sure about the change of area code, except I overheard someone say my ass was too big for Van Buren County...

Thanks for the kind words brother. Yeah, I was kinda taken by surprise by all the developments. But Lisa deserves to be happy and I really hope she is. I'm a pretty tough cookie, so I'll survive this ok. I know there are great things in store for me, but DANG I'm ready for them to happen! HA! I didn't know about you going to Montana - that must have been a beautiful place to heal! WOW! Of course, this place ain't too bad either. I love golf, and I live right on the course and get to play anytime I want for free, so that's a BIG plus! Of course, I still suck :-) It is kinda lonely here - there aren't many people and they pretty much stick to themselves. But that's ok. Overall I have a pretty good life and can't complain! And I'll send ya some pics of my house shortly!

Tuesday, April 12, 2005

Well, my memory ain't what it used to be! I got a job as a property manager of a new resort, GrandView Lodge at Fall Creek Falls. You can get an idea of the place at our website, www.grandviewlodgeandresort.com. Lisa filed for divorce (she found a new man) so it was time to move on. So here I am living in some of the prettiest country in the state! I'm two miles from Fall Creek Falls State Park and it's lovely! I bought a beautiful log home (I've always wanted one) so things are pretty good. I'm a little lonely, but I guess that will give me time to figure out what I'm supposed to do with my life!

Re: HUGE !!!  The images didn't convert, my friend.  I only saw a bunch of little red X's.

Dang it, I can't ever seem to figure this crap out. I don't know any other way to send it to where it will actually send all the stuff. Heck, at my age I don't guess I'll ever learn it. Oh well, at least you got the words! So how are ya buddy??????

Wednesday, January 26, 2005
